In January of 1989 the Lord established Trinity Baptist Church (TBC) in Riverton, Utah through the ministry of Pastor Lloyd Larkin, his wife Marty, and their family. TBC faithfully made disciples in the valley and watched the Lord provide for every need. In time God made a way for TBC to purchase the property on 2700 W and build a 6,000 square foot building that has now been expanded to just under 12,000 square feet.

In 2011 the Lord led four men and their families to plant Gospel Grace Church (GGC) in downtown Salt Lake City. From the start, GGC’s vision was to grow a family of churches in the valley through church planting and revitalization.

In 2015 Pastor Larkin and the leadership of Gospel Grace Church began discussions about a partnership in the southwest part of the SLC valley to plant and grow healthy churches. Along the way, Danny Brooks, Kevin Inafuku, Daniel Kaminski, and Matt Parker joined the conversation and in 2017, formally partnered in this revitalization ministry, and moved to Utah.

After another six months of prayer, discussion, and vision-casting Trinity Baptist Church unanimously approved the revitalization proposal that included the new name of Gospel Hope Church and the new pastoral leadership team.

From the outset this has been a strategic and happy partnership that we pray will bear gospel fruit for many years to come! Though the Larkins have retired from formal ministry, the Inafukus have moved on to ministry in Hawaii, and GHC has added Dean Macinskas and Josh Vinecke to the pastoral team, we see God growing and maturing the church family in new and fresh ways. The coming years promise to be full of opportunity and challenge.  We eagerly anticipate adding new chapters to the more than thirty years of God-blessed, gospel-centered history of Gospel Hope Church.
