There will be no Mid-Week Service this week.
In our 9:30 am Sunday worship we'll conclude our 3-part Christmas series celebrating the advent of Christ. Isaiah 7-9 have been describing the kind of King Jesus Christ is and will be. We've been seeing that the truths about Him and promises from Him give us hope in the deep darkness of this present age. Sunday morning we'll worship Him as the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.
And of course, throughout the morning there are opportunities for all of our children to worship and be discipled. It's going to be a great morning together!
We're praying for matters of vital importance Thursday nights at 7:00. We continue to ask God to pour out His Spirit in Riverton and beyond. We know there's a lot going on this time of year, but will you make time to come for just one hour to pray with your church family? Bring your children too! We'll have a separate prayer time for them after we praise the Lord and share updates. We're on a big mission and prayer is absolutely essential to the power and effectiveness of this mission.
Don't miss the second week of Advent celebration! We'll be continuing our series in Isaiah, but this week from chapter 9. Last week we studied Isaiah 7 and God's gift an astonishing sign that He is with us: Immanuel. This week we'll see God working in another remarkable way through the birth of Messiah that He assures us He is for us. "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given."
And of course, throughout the morning there are opportunities for all of our children to worship and be discipled. It's going to be a great morning together!
God strengthens our hearts and accomplishes really important work in our prayer times together. Don't let the cold or fatigue stop you from coming tomorrow night as we meet again to praise and adore God together, to confess our sins and need of Him, to petition and intercede for one another and our world, and to thank Him for hearing and answering our prayers.
In the midst of folding laundry, coordinating carpool schedules, and breaking up fights, many parents get lost. Feeling pressure to do everything "right" and raise up "good" children, it's easy to lose sight of our ultimate purpose as parents in the quest for practical tips and guaranteed formulas.
Join us as we explore a Biblical approach to parenting centered on the Gospel.
Join us as we have our quarterly family meeting and meal together. There will be no equip classes this Sunday.
